i2i Islam 2 Iman

The Bedouins say, “We believe.” Say: “No, you have not believed; instead you should say, ‘We have surrendered’ – for faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you pay heed unto God and His Apostle, He will not let the least of your deeds go to waste: for, behold, God is muchforgiving, a dispenser of grace.” [Al Hujurat 49:14]

The i2i is a holistic Islamic learning (which is the broad meaning of the word ‘tarbiyah’) programme. Islam to Iman describes the spiritual journey from the utterance of belief in Islam to a firm conviction of faith in the heart and what it means. Some scholars have explained that Islam can be be understood in a way as ‘doing’ (declaring the shahada, performing Salah e.c.t..) whilst Iman is ’feeling while doing’. It is hoped that this course will help to prepare a spiritual grounding in such a way that we start to really feel and enjoy our obedience to Allah.
The purpose of the course is not simply to provide information on Islam but to teach participants what it means to be a Mu’min. Participants will be able to differentiate between the robotic and heedless performance of Islamic rituals and actions which are performed in a state of awareness accompanied with the utmost conviction of the heart. The course will aim to offer definitive directions in order to reach the elevated status of a true mumin, which is indeed the primary objective of everyone who professes the Shahada.
Learn and experience the essence of what Islam means, what true belief is!
